THE POST STORM MEETING
Following the 2017 Hurricane Season, a group of Storm Services’ team members gathered in Thomasville, Georgia, to discuss the different lessons that were learned throughout the year. The team members that were in attendance were directly involved in assisting in the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew, Hurricane Irma, and the California wildfires.

MEET OUR TEAM MEMBER Meet Vickie King! Vickie, an Illinois native, is a Storm Services’ site manager and caterer. As a site manager, Vickie would be responsible for overseeing the daily operations that take place on site for the duration of the event. This includes such things as managing the arrival of Storm Services’ equipment, assisting with the site layout, and leading safety meetings. Once the site is closed, Vicki would be responsible for ensuring that the equipment is removed safely and promptly.

UNFORGETTABLES Carlyle Kirbo was first deployed back in August of 2011 to Jackson, New Jersey, to assist with the restoration process after Hurricane Irene. He was charged with helping set up a Storm Services base camp site at a local Six Flags. After helping fellow team members with the set-up, Carlyle focused on the daily operations of the site. This included such things as changing linens, assisting with laundry, and parking trucks.
