THE POST STORM MEETING
Following the 2017 Hurricane Season, a group of Storm Services’ team members gathered in Thomasville, Georgia, to discuss the different lessons that were learned throughout the year. The team members that were in attendance were directly involved in assisting in the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew, Hurricane Irma, and the California wildfires. Because of this, the majority of the meeting was focused on experiences that took place while working these events.
At Storm Services, we believe that sharing knowledge amongst team members is a vital part of continuing to grow as a company. The purpose of these post storm meetings is to give team members an opportunity to share solutions to any challenges they faced, therefore, making the job a bit easier for the next person. Always trying to improve, we discuss what worked and what didn’t work. Looking at ways to be even more efficient and more effective than we already are, we problem solve and brainstorm with each other.
Historic South Eden played host to about eighty team members who attended the event. South Eden is located in Thomasville, a quintessential southern town known as the City of Roses. This is located approximately fifteen miles away from our Georgia Headquarters. In addition to two days of meetings, the group joined together for dinner each night, which allowed time for a little fun!
