A BETTER WAY TO MANAGE
SYSTEM ASSESSMENTS
Storm Services has developed a software program to use while performing system reliability inspection work for utility companies, thus eliminating the use of paper maps and hand written notes for data collection. The new program allows all data and information needed to design, redesign, or rebuild electrical circuits to be collected and recorded on a tablet while in the field, thus improving efficiency and accuracy.

LOOKING BACK
One of the nation’s largest outbreaks of tornadoes took place five years ago in April 2011. Central Alabama took the brunt of its damage on April 27th. First, a quaislinear convective system moved through during the early morning hours, followed by the outbreak of violent tornadic supercells in the afternoon. The morning activity produced widespread wind damage and several tornadoes. The afternoon activity produced the majority of the most intense damage. On this day, Alabama experienced 62 tornadoes. Storm Services was on alert with immediate response setting up multiple sites in the state.

DON'T MISS THE BASE CAMP EXPERIENCE
Our customers are invited to join us on Thursday, June 9th at our 2016 Base Camp Exercise in York, Alabama, where we will show why Storm Services is the safest place to weather ANY storm! Beginning with coffee and light breakfast items, the exercise will take place from 8:30 to 12:00 CDT, followed by lunch and questions from 12:00 to 1:30 CDT

UNFORGETTABLES
Superstorm Sandy was the second storm that Jason Awtry worked. He said “it was an eye opening experience” and that he went from “not knowing anything to learning lots quickly.” Part of his learning took place during the previous storm, when he worked with fellow team member Charlie Evans who happens to be his father-in-law. Jason said, “working with your father-in-law is great, but you have to figure out what to call him.”
